Lismore Ladies Golf Notes Fiona Howard played some super golf this week to bring in 38pts and claim top spot. Close behind was in form Sheila Denn who once again finished in the prizes taking 2nd with 37pts. Hard luck to all involved in the Bruen squad that travelled to Bandon last weekend and had a fantastic win over Shannon Golf Club before being defeated in the Munster final by Killorglin. There were a number of singles matches down for decision in the past week in some tough encounters we saw P Bolger Mc Carthy defeated by Lady Captain J Cahillane, N O’Sullivan defeated by K Moynihan, both on the 18th, JJ Tobin defeated by H Farrow, O Scanlon gave a walk over to A Henley, L Ní Chonchubhair must yet play A O’Hara. The foursomes also throws up some interesting contests with K Moynihan & L Ní Chonchubhair v JJ Tobin & A Henley, N O’Sullivan & H Lane v J Cahillane & A O’Hara, C Neville & H Farrow v S Denn & O Scanlon, M Beecher & B Burke v P Bolger Mc Carthy & B Daly. Mixed Golf Mixed Golf for all goes ahead as usual on Friday evening at 6.30, so come along and join in the banter and the competition.
