Lismore Radio has seen over 100,000 post reach and over a quarter - TopicsExpress

Lismore Radio has seen over 100,000 post reach and over a quarter of a million post clicks (not including likes, comments or shares) IN ONE WEEK and still not a single sponsor has stepped up to help keep things going. It is not even an overly busy week. It seems few business owners and fewer government departments want what is really happening to be published because it keeps customers away and embarasses them. The safety of the community is obviously irrelevant to some when it comes to profit or their precious image based on bullshit. How about taking a wider view and raising awareness to a level where our police and government are forced to act and start throwing appropriate resources at the actual problems to see them fixed so most of the bad stories become good stories and so many more customers will come to local businesses which will see profits grow exponentially? Just so people know how expensive it is, after all the money and time already spent, Lismore Radio now requires the following to continue: * a reliable 4wd dual cab ute with some specific items fitted (10k); * a decent news camera set-up with certain accessories (7.5k); * some additional very important audio/radio equipment (2.5k); * a major computer upgrade (10k); and most importantly * very public support from the community to show the government departments that Lismore Radio is very well recognised so it can continue with equitable access to information like all the other media agencies have access to (FREE). If the last item listed was there from the beginning, the others would have never got to the stage they are now as equipment needs would have been met through regular maintenance and upgrades. I have no intention of pumping much more of my own money into Lismore Radio especially after the ongoing crap from police, the blatant discrimination from the local court, rudeness from ambulance media, being turned away from the SES for a conflict of interest even after being asked to volunteer and now the ongoing crap coming from some Goonellabah firies. I wont even go into all the other crap also going on. Lismore Radio tried a fundraising campaign but that just resulted in a bombardment from stalkers. I have left links active but they are rarely considered without harassing people with posts seeking support which I hate doing. Seeking sponsors has been suggested but it is not something I am good at since I hate networking, detest asking people for things and it will just take me away from doing Lismore Radio. I also want to be alone almost all the time so I am not suited to meeting with people. A merchandising campaign has been considered many times but I am not an experienced merchandiser or marketer with connections and it also just stops me focusing on Lismore Radio. Lismore City Council has also told at least one local business I have used for merchandise in Big Robs that they cannot print the heart logo for me and they are listening to them. I have asked others who have not got back to me. It seems I cannot even use local businesses to support this very popular local Project. Does anyone else see the irony? I am not asking for anything from anyone since I am way past even caring. I am just telling people what Lismore Radio requires to continue and to grow. If it comes, great. If not, I really dont care. If things do not change in the next 5-6 months, Lismore Radio will go offline indefinitely as of midnight 30 June 2015 and I will look to focus on other things. As for the keyboard warrior stalkers who will no doubt bombard me with ridiculous messages and emails, not to mention the many posts all over the place, after this post, please dont waste your time or mine. I will not respond online. Just come and see me and say what you want to my face so I can say what I want to yours. I will be at Mary Gs by myself for the next hour enjoying a steak for Australia Day but will be more than happy to step outside with anyone to discuss any issues. There will be no more public posts today.
