I’ve meet 10 famous / quasi-famous people: June Jordan, Stephen Malkmus, Billie Jean Armstrong/Mike Dirnt/Tres Cool (Green Day), Elizabeth Betita Martinez, Barack Obama (then Senator), David Tutera, Governor Jay Inslee, Dan Savage. 3. At Oberlin College, I studied piano until I realized that I couldn’t cut it. My Russian professor made me cry & slapped my hands while I played, since my technique was not up to snuff to being a professional. Bad professor. 4. I was a college DJ on the radio & in a college bar. As a radio DJ: played bad hardcore music & punk rock. As a college bar DJ: played “dance alternative” music. 5. I had a TV wedding filmed for TBS’ “Movie and a Makeover” in New York City. Only 2 weeks of planning & 2-days of filming, producing 10 minutes of wedding content played in between Jennifer Lopez’s movie “The Wedding Planner”. Celebrity wedding planner David Tutera did our wedding. It was all free.
