Listen. Can I just throw a little light on the reality of Scottish - TopicsExpress

Listen. Can I just throw a little light on the reality of Scottish Politics at present? Well, no matter, Im going to anyway.... There are 129 Members of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh which means that they represent fewer people each and are therefore theoretically closer to the issues of their constituency than the 55 or so Members of the UK Parliament in London who represent Scottish interests. Well, of those 129 MSPs 1 is the Presiding Officer, the Chair, who is neutral... Of the remaining 128 the SNP have 65 members, Labour has 38, Conservatives 15, Lib-Dems 5, Greens 2 and Independents 3. That means that the Tories in Scotland (with only ONE Westminster UK MP as well) are a nonentity amd could only ever hope to influence Scottish issues by joining up with their sworn enemies in Labour or the Lib-Dems..which is, of course what they have done in London. Labour won just over half of the seats the SNP did at the last Scottish Election and dont look as if they will EVER hold power in Scotland OR the UK ever again. Look at the numbers again.. The Lib-Dems are in the same league as the Greens, and the Independents and yet we have a Lib-Dem Secretary of State sent to us from England who apparently knows whats best for us... He has FIVE elected colleagues in the Scottish Parliament and his Party presume to rule Scotland by default? WHY WOULD WE EVEN CONSIDER LISTENING TO THE VIEWS, NAY INSTRUCTIONS, OF THESE TWO NOTHING PARTIES WHO WILL NEVER HAVE A GUIDING OR LEADING ROLE IN SCOTTISH POLITICS... I rest my case.....
