Listen....I can barely speak/type right now due to the overwhelming outpouring of love and support you guys are showing me both public and private. Special shout out to my wonderful husband Cory Bishop and my awedome children Brittany Bishop, Elijah and Nevaeh for being there last night for 5 hours waiting to hear me. Its amazing to feel loved. I appreciate ALL of your comments and well wishes. Let me confess that although I have been singing for a spell, I was and am still very nervous about being judged. When I sing with my sisters, various choirs, my children...I feel very confident. Poised. Assured. But solo is a different beast. So I dont take YOUR confidence in me lightly AT ALL. Thank you. Now the dilemma is finding a different crowd pleasing song for next week. Lol. One of the insiders of the competition SWEARS I need to sing Aretha Franklin or Etta James (I have NEVER liked that song At Last but it seems like everybody likes that one)...funny what folks surmise when they look at you. Just cause I LOOK like Retha dont mean I can SANG like her!! #knowingandstayinginmylane
