Listen I need to comment on this and itsMy Opion. I just read a news article on Major Davis jr and the IMPD officer that was shot and killed first off I want to say the loss of another black man saddens me and the loss of an officer that is suppose to protect us saddens me but what saddens me more than anything is reading the comments from nothing but obviously racist white people saying about Major Davis Jr. Its so disrespectful. Yes the man did something wrong but if you seen your father as a young man being kicked and roughed up by to many officer while in cuffs and he has a heart attack and die what do you think that will do to his mind, his trust and respect for any Police officer. This young man and his family was a victim first before this incident, but as always Indianapolis police department weaseled there way out it. As long as Ive lived here the police department never hold themselves responsiable for lives taken by IMPD. Do I condone what M.Davis Jr. did no not at all but listen to reason of his circumstances that brought this incident into play. Im hurt because of the comments Wish tv 8 allowed people to say on that site, things about his kids about him being a father. No respect Im sorry but lets talk about when I was younger how the police covered up the black juvenile that was hand cuffed in back of a police car and they say he shot himself, police said he did it himself. What about Major Davis , What about police officers that just rob drug boys and regular people walking down the street. All unsolved in the eyes of the black community. How long are we going to keep sitting back letting things like this happen. We NEED TO STOP JUST NOT DOING ANYTHING, WE NEED TO START SPEAKING UP DOING SOMETHING MORE THAN JUST MINDING OUR OWN BUSINESS. THE NEXT BLACK CHILD OR FAMILY MEMBER COULD BE YOURS THAT YOUR BURYING. Its cool they are trying to get guns off the streets Im all for it but the real problem is inside of who we trust to protect us. This is not only a black problem its an all color situation. We need to come together in a proper way to defeat this problem in our streets and our police department. Learn new things IMPD work with your community make your police department people persons make officer get out and know there community instead of people scared of them and always being an enforcer be a diffrence. The black community is scared to live because we always thinking when we might die!! We stay in our homes, work,school, home. We dont know what its like to hang out in our community like they can in broadripple. We deserve to live in Indianapolis Indiana. We dont deserve to be like animals you put down.
