Cutting Edge Two months before the EU meets to decide on the issue of the targeted sanctions on Zimbabwe, human rights activist Arthur Gwagwa says the ZANU PF government needs to be put on a probation period of 12 motnhs, until it makes clear choices. Gwagwa says the government is involved in a calculated effort to clean up its image, with a view to gaining acceptance, but is already finding it difficult to make ‘clear choices.’ Gwagwa, who is an official at the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum, was commenting following the recent release of a document by his organization: Zimbabwe-EU relations - a Balancing Act. The document looks at the conflicting developments within the country and the dilemma the EU faces ahead of their meeting in February 2014.
