Listen to a portion of a teaching cd from John Bevere. He was - TopicsExpress

Listen to a portion of a teaching cd from John Bevere. He was saying that we, as a democratic nation, cannot understand the "kingdom principle" because we do not know what it means to submit to the authority of a king or a kingdom. Which got me to thinking about what has been founded on rebellion. Tis country was founded on rebellion. We have been taught that this country was founded on the quest for religious freedom and maybe so, but it was in rebellion to the British Monarchy. Some churches are planted because because of rebellion to leadership. How many pastors leave a church or even the ministry because of rebellion against their authority? How many live in sin because of rebellion against God? It always confounded me why anyone would rebel against God and create idols, enslaving themselves to them, then I understood, idols are created by man not to control man but that man can control the idols, making them into whatever they want to be, to justify their rebellion against God, to justify their unwillingness to submit to Gods kingdom authority. When you talk about submitting to authority, especially when you say all who are in authority have been placed there by God, it gets deathly quite. This country and the church in this country will not see renewal until it understands kingdom principles, and learns to submit to God and those placed into authority by Him.
