Listen to the letter that Saeed wrote to all of us this Christmas. - TopicsExpress

Listen to the letter that Saeed wrote to all of us this Christmas. Another brother took the time to reenact it, for our benefit. Its important to hear from our friend, our brother. Yes, hes been gone and kept imprisoned for 3 years, so its easy to choose to look away and just detach from the fact that our own friend has been being tortured and brutalized for the past 3 years. These types of things are almost impossible to fathom, but they are draining on the emotions, and they dont feel good to think about during the fun festivities of our Holiday season. However, Pastor Saeed, our brother in chains, has been living and experiencing every waking and sleepless second of this fiery trial. We will not forget him. We will not block out the gift (that is to us) of empathy. If we take the gift of empathy, and we embrace it, we become embraceable ourselves. Yet, in all of this, as you watch the video and listen to Saeeds letter to you, to me, to all of us - you will indeed find yourself a recipient of a gift that came at a priceless expense. There are many in the persecuted church that understand the value of a priceless gift, because it comes at the cost of their lives. Let us please continue to pray for our brother, Saeed. But let his gift to us be opened with grateful hearts that receive in humility and thanksgiving, as this has come at a great cost to him. This is the best Christmas gift I have ever received, apart from the gift Jesus Himself gave me. Please, remember that Saeed is a normal human being... just like you and me. He needs our support, and we need to hear the wisdom hes sharing. We also neednt forget to pray earnestly for Naghmeh and the children... for Zeebandeh and her entire family. For them, this was not a Happy Christmas. Yet, I do believe they understand the meaning of Christmas far greater than many of us. May the Lord bless them and deliver Pastor Saeed, our dear brother in chains. May we spur one one another on to pray and pray and pray, and then pray without ceasing. In Jesus Name.
