We think that God is not aware, that he’s a million miles away, that he’s not doing anything about what we’re going through. Because if he were, we think we’d be going through smooth sailing. Nothing could be further from the truth! God obviously knows everything that’s going to happen. God is timeless. He knows the past, the present, and the future all at once. He is omniscient. That means he’s all knowing. So God already knows what’s going to happen in your life this afternoon. He knows what’s going to happen in your life this next week, this next month, this next year and the next decade and the rest of your life. He already knows. That’s why you’ll never hear God go “Wow! I didn’t know that!” You’re never going to hear God say, “Oops! That one caught me by surprise! I never figured she’d do that.”
