Listened to a great sermon tonight on youtube. Right now in my Old Testament Prophets class, were reading Isaiah 49-57 this week. Well in chapter 49 there is this spectacular picture of Gods love for us. That being more powerful than how a mother loves her young nursing child. Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Isaiah 49:15-16 One of the really thought-striking statements Tim Keller made in this message was the following: If, let me ask a question, if you knew that a love of this magnitude by a person of this magnitude was really really yours; if the reality of this kind of love was an abiding reality to your heart moment by moment, existentially, consciously, what kind of person would you be? I agree with him when he answers his own question by saying that at the bare minimum you would be a very different person than the one sitting here right now.
