Listening to Pink Floyds The Endless River with a mixture of joy - TopicsExpress

Listening to Pink Floyds The Endless River with a mixture of joy and great sadness. One of the happiest moments of my life was seeing them in concert for The Delicate Sound of Thunder tour. For sheer spectacle alone, nothing ever will or can match them. The new album predictably comes full circle to their Syd Barrett blues roots. But, with the death of Richard Wright, this must by definition be the end. The tracks are largely reworks of tracks that were discarded from The Division Bell so, despite Wrights passing, it is still an authentic Pink Floyd album, with Wright still very-much present, both literally and figuratively. To everyone who was with me on that amazing concert-evening, thank you.
