Listening to "Stardust" on YouTube...I picked the book up once, and it intrigued me, though I never managed to stick with it. Gaiman intrigues me though...I was rather charmed by his nod to Lord Dunsany with his references to Faerie as lying "beyond the fields we know." I later read the text of an address he delivered in which he described the abiding influence of his three favorite authors...Lewis, Tolkien and Chesterton. Coincidentally, my own favorites and for almost precisely the same reasons he described.
