Listening to a bit of Robin Williams Reality, What a Concept! - TopicsExpress

Listening to a bit of Robin Williams Reality, What a Concept! album, from 1980. I taped a copy off my brothers LP and listened to it a LOT. Much of it very far over my head until I was much, much older. A track on side 2 (those of you unfamiliar with the terms album, LP, and side 2; talk to your parents) was devoted to an IMPROVISED Shakespearean scene about the Three Mile Island Nuclear Plant accident (again, ask your parents). I still remember the opening monologue: Entertain a time when all is simply strange - and yet radiation causes chromosomes to rearrange. My father worked at yon electric plant hither; and sends me forth with my arms thus withered, but yet, I am not afraid; I am merely here to lay forth my words and let you sit upon them and think. Fear not, if I see my words fall out in pieces they fall upon the ground like simple feces. Know not who I am, I come before to entertain a play...! Mind not my words — Let the play be the thing. Ill get back forth and touch myself anon. Simply brilliant mind. Gone too soon. RIP, Robin.
