Listening to a podcast of Christian scholars debating various topics on reason.org while I multitask, and I reaaallly like what this one dude had to say about global warming. @____@ This Christian attitude of oh the Lord is coming anyways, so who cares is very unfortunate. All the people who predicted the coming of the Lord have been wrong, and I suspect the next guy to predict the coming of the Lord will also be wrong. There are times we can use that as an excuse to ignore the moral order thats declining in America: The Lord is coming, so why should we care? Ive never heard someone say that before. o_- But I do believe this sort of sluggard/apathetic attitude was addressed in the NT, albeit in a different context, but it still relates. In the beginning God gave the earth to Adam to tend. Not to strip apart and rape, if you will.
