Listening to fire update from Intermountain News website, it - TopicsExpress

Listening to fire update from Intermountain News website, it appears that they are concerned today about a couple of things, one you all know about and that is the line between the fire and Burney, but the other is persistent hot spots and flare ups/fire surrounding the Cinder Butte lava beds area. It extends from the behind ranch lands opposite (east) Maccohatchi (never could spell that) store in Hat Creek, all the way past and around Cinder Butte and north of there...Cassel. They feel better about Burney because of an expected wind shift but the shift is a threat to Cassel and this Cinder Butte area. No roads out there and difficult terrain for firefighters. The possibility of strong easterly winds is very worrisome! Please let it rain! Wanted to share some fantastic photos from the Hat Creek area from a firefighter photo journalist named Matthew Henderson. He has a fire mask and breathing gear on in his facebook photo. Worth your while to search his name on facebook and like is page so the photo post get put on your page (Eiler Fire Residents - group leaders -heads up). So thumbs up to Matthew Henderson for being an awesome photo journalist!
