Listening to some jams tonight and I MUST give a shout out to one of the most unheralded men in music: Rod Temperton. Rod was a member of Heatwave and wrote most of the songs that you associate with that band (Boogie Nights, Groove Line, Always and Forever, Star of the Story and more), THEN went on to write some of the biggest jams of the 80s: Rock With You, Thriller, Off The Wall, Baby Be Mine, Lady in My Life, Yah Mo B There, Masterjam, Stomp!, The Dude, Razzamatazz, The Secret Garden, Give Me The Night, Baby Come to Me, and SO many more. Why he has not been recognized will forever escape me. Here is one person who TRULY changed the face of music.
