Listening to the news on television; a survivor from the baddest, 190 mph typhoon, 10,000 dead, and effecting and displacing 2 million people that hit the Philippines, said I guess God wasnt watching over us. Religions and people who cling to religious beliefs have to admit, that God is responsible for all the good and the bad that occurs in the universe, and everything that happens to us, if you claim he created the universe, with all living and non living things, knows everythings purpose, and makes it happen according to his will. Our cunning and masterful mind left untamed or full of fragmented illusions can invent and reinforce itself to any belief, tradition and with any encountered experience it has, if it chooses, when it finds comfort, security and logic in. A conscious mind knows its limitations by memory, thinking that is derived from the past; accumulated from books, educators and from personal experiences by others and yourself. But since the earthquake in Haiti a few years back, the oil spill in the Gulf, the mud slides and fires in Calif., the fires out West, the flooding in the Midwest & South, hurricanes like Katrina & Sandy doing unconscionable damage, the giant tsunami disaster hitting Japan, the drought in the farmland, the never seen before extreme temperatures and patterns in the weather, to the typhoon now that hit the Philippines,etc. is it that Mother Nature (surly, God is the God of nature, however, Native Americans knew that was to big of a responsibility for one God and assigned a God for every element) is showing a side of her that is unaccustomed to the past experiences we have had with her. There is no controlling Nature, we merely react and prepare for it, and usually are at her mercy. We have no say or effect in the temperament of Nature, that is left up to something greater than ourselves. But by our creation of anything we must acknowledge and accept that we also have created a complete opposite polarity, similar to the Taoism philosophy of the yin and the yang. Where in order to think and talk about life, we have to divide it, so we make comparisons by creating, supporting, defining and depending on the other. There is really no beginning, no ending, a complete circle (0) with no starting point, no ending point. It would be hard to explain 0 because it represents nothing, and there are no words to explain nothing. I am fascinated with the numbers, mathematics for they are always permanent, truthful and never lie. Every number has a starting point and ending point, except for 0 which signifies nothing and the 8 which sideways represents infinity. Ill share with you why I feel blessed, and know that there is a higher and more meaningful purpose yet to come in my life. The fact that I was born 08/08/1946, lived and experienced 08/08/88, and 08/08/08 gives me some hope of a hidden destiny still waiting for me. Like today 11/12/13 could hold some special meaning, miracle, or blessing for someone. Then next year it happens for a second time 12/13/14 and I hope now that you are aware of it, you make arrangements to honor such a unique and special occasion. After all, the ark that Noah build, was before the flood.. Peace on You...
