Literally leaving the park in tears. As Im swinging Ella, a mom - TopicsExpress

Literally leaving the park in tears. As Im swinging Ella, a mom next to me starts talking. She tells me that her kid wont talk to me bc he has autism. Which makes her and her husband super depressed. She then goes on to say she wishes her other kid had a NORMAL brother to play with, not a bad influence like her autistic child. She went on to complain how he isnt even potty trained yet and hes 4. At the moment I took Ella off the swing and left the park. My heart broke for that little boy who was all smiles the whole time. So many people arent able to have kids and they would do anything for a child no matter what disabilities they had. Im not a mom and I dont know how it is to raise a child with autism, but I do know how to love and appreciate peoples differences.
