Little Bronte is back in Hospital. Another tick (we treat them fortnightly) took her to the after hours place last night in a bad way and were presented with an estimate of $2800-$7400. No other business could be allowed to operate like this. They completely take advantage of a situation and emotions. I went through the quote and noted a few double charges ect. If this had been found during business hours our local vet would be $1000-$1500 tops. I completely understand paying a little more, maybe even double for the 24hr service, but 4 or 6 times when your only other decision is to put your pet to sleep is very unfair. She was left to be treated, and fingers crossed she comes good. Puts the $7 to see a doctor for yourself into perspective.......
