Little Grey Bear a young male kitten surrendered to us by a lady - TopicsExpress

Little Grey Bear a young male kitten surrendered to us by a lady who loved him very much but felt she could do no more to help him, came to us with an amputated left rear leg and a right one that did not function. The vet who had seen him felt there was nothing more that could be done for Little Grey Bear but we have been fortunate enough to find a vet who feels this is fixable. So on Jan 12th he will go to Dr. Bruce in Springfield and have his chance to walk again. They have quoted us a price of between $500 and $700 and I know they are taking into account that we are a 501c3 but even with this generosity it is a lot of money for the Sanctuary to come up with. But once you meet Little Grey Bear, you can see why we have to give him this chance. We have ordered a wheelchair for him and one for his paralyzed Torti companion (the one shot in the back and left to drag herself around outside for a week) before coming to the Sanctuary. We hope it will support him until he can use his newly repaired leg to do the job. Three legged cats get along just fine we have 4 others in the Sanctuary and Little Grey Bear will have fine examples to follow. He is pictured here on the kitchen floor after one of his many daily baths, he loves to play with toys, loves his soft canned cat food, purrs like a motor boat engine, and is the sweetest little guy in the world. Not to mention he has such a beautiful face and eyes that he is a real heart stealer. He took to the Torti girl as soon as he meet her and loves to play with the small dogs in the house. He pulls himself around and enjoys life to the best of his tiny kitty abilities. There is no, not loving this little man with his sunny attitude and can do personality. So prayers that his surgery will give him a better quality of life wild be greatly appreciated. I will make sure everyone interested is kept up on his progress.
