Little Jimmy Dickens biggest time in the spotlight was in the - TopicsExpress

Little Jimmy Dickens biggest time in the spotlight was in the 1960s and early 1970s, a bit before I got into music in a big way. And even then, he wasnt a superstar or big hitmaker by todays standards. But his straight forward I-am-what-you-see style, combined with his honesty, integrity, humor and love for just about everyone he met, won over everyone who got to know him. So it comes as no surprise that he was one of the longest standing members of the Grand Ole Opry, and that superstars the likes of Brad Paisley and Vince Gill, among others, included him in some of their music videos. This is one of my faves, and he is included in several spots, but especially in a few moments with Vince at the end. It was easy to see that Vince loved and admired his friend. Well miss you, LJD. (And btw, see how many legends and superstars of country, rock and pop you can spot in this video. They are all over the place, including in his band and the audience, male and female, some seen only for a fraction of a second. (And yes that is a former famous Doobie Brother and 1/4th of the Million Dollar Quartet you see....) https://youtube/watch?v=JlUGTof2TWU
