Little Leia went to her first pediatrician appt yesterday. She has lost a little weight so thats a little bit of a concern. She is weighing in at 6.9 which is still too small for her age. She was two weeks early, but not considered premature so we cant blame it on that. One of the characteristics of charge is retardation of growth. Plus, with her eating issues, shes working really hard at trying to suck so they feel like she burning more calories than shes taking in. We were letting her take a bottle for 30 minutes and then gavaging what was left but they said to only let her nipple for 5-10 minutes now. The only thing that concerns me about that is I dont want her to get out of the habit of sucking otherShe had another appt today with a nutritionist and then next week has an appt of the Cleft Palate Clinic on Thursday and then gets shots on Friday. We have to fatten this baby up!!
