Little Momma was already pregnant when she appeared on a gentleman’s porch. On Sunday, she gave birth to one healthy kitten. 24 hours passed and it was clear that Little Momma was not doing very well. After calling around to get help for this stray cat, a full service veterinarian suggested that he take Little Momma to Pets Alive for an emergency cesarean section surgery. It was 5:30pm on Monday. Our vets had already finished surgeries and were getting ready to leave for the day when Little Momma arrived at Pets Alive. Our vets and surgery team quickly set up our operating room and helped Little Momma deliver two more kittens that were trapped in the birth canal. Surprisingly, they were both still alive. Despite staff’s hard work, one of the birth canal babies passed away this morning even after receiving supplemental feedings every two hours. The remaining two kittens are doing well, however, and if all goes well, Little Momma her two kittens will go home with the finder who has agreed to make them a permanent part of his family.
