“Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth .” I John 3:18 The true believer is not to be known by his “religious speak” or his self-righteousness, but by his humility and servant’s heart. As believers, God’s love is not simply an emotion, it compels us to action. Because we love God we demonstrate that love through service. The act of serving others becomes the act of making His love known to all we come in contact with. And by loving in both word and action our own compassion for others grows. Kay Arthur
