Little princess Hazel just got put under anesthesia for her eye - TopicsExpress

Little princess Hazel just got put under anesthesia for her eye surgery, because shes extremely premature she has the possibility of being deaf, blind, and have cerebral palsy. They do eye exams once a week on all the babies, and last week the eye doctor noticed something mildly wrong with her eyes so he waited a week to see if it was just because shes still so young that if would fix itself, well it didnt. So theyre going in today to fix it. Once we get discharged (which still isnt for awhile) we will be taking frequent trips to Denver for developmental therapy to track Hazels developmental growth. Were not expecting her to come out of the hospital and act like a 4 month old, nor a newborn. So we will be taking it day by day as we are now. We are so thankful for the progress we have made this far and continue to pray for a long healthy life for our little diva!!!!! :) also I do have to add kevin and I are so blessed to know that our little girl is such an inspiration to others!!! She is loved by many! Its so heartwarming to know that! Thank you all for all your continuous support, love and prayers!!!! (Beautiful letter we received today) I will be posting an update on her surgery when she is out and I get to love on her for a bit!!!!! ♡♡heather #prayersforhazel #TeamToole Dear Toole Family, I am writing this letter to thank you. We do not know one another, but I have been following the progress of your darling Hazel on Facebook. There is such an overwhelming abundance of sadness and despair reported in mainstream and social media that causes me to wonder if there’s anything uplifting happening anymore. But, reading about the grams of weight Hazel has gained, seeing the tears of joy in mommy’s eyes while she holds her baby, the comments of love and prayers from others, even the posts about tough days are encouraging to the heart. Hazel is a hero. Hazel is a warrior. Hazel is hope…and so are her parents. So, thank you for allowing me to follow your journey. I will continue to offer my prayers for all of you and for a healthy homecoming for Hazel.
