Little video piece on self-organization and does offer an example - TopicsExpress

Little video piece on self-organization and does offer an example of what is know as criticality in organized systems. Because we have a globalized world there is a need for banks to exchange dollars plus a need for global corporations to solve inter relational problems and set rules. These go beyond national interests and so global powers find a need to control nations, buying out governments or using corruption. In the interest of efficiency the channels reduce in number and coordinate actions AND thus become Gameable AND FRAGILE as we saw in the crash a few years ago. Whats fascinating is that the measure taken to repair the critical nodes and connections have made things more critical. Instead of diversifying the too big to fail have become even bigger. The criticality example offered was an interesting one - fuel - yet the globalized monetary networks have become more of a criticality problem plus the accumulation and inequality amount to a stress on the system and will be the ripping points not unlike the housing bubble triggered the financial collapse. youtu.be/BTR17I_Eb_o
