Live feeding is the least fun thing I do. Its highly dangerous for me and the snakes. Absolutely lethal for the mice. Case in point: Eastern Brown Snakes envenomate and constrict their prey to make sure. To start the session off today, the male bit the female and needed prodding to let go. Once I had them both eating a mouse I left the room. The female finished eating the mouse before the male did, he only had it half-way down. She went for him and his mouse, constricting his head and neck, fortunately I returned and saved his ass, for he was on his way to being dead by suffocation. Untangling that mess really pissed the female off, no fun at all.
