The French striker was linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer but ended up signing a new five-year deal with the Spanish club in July. This seemed to end the interest the Reds and Arsenal had in the 26-year-old, but sources in Spain claim the striker is still unsettled - and the Star reports that Brendan Rodgers has held talks with Real bosses over signing the player in a £38.8m deal. The Reds are at the front of the queue to sign MK Dons wonderkid Dele Alli, according to the Express. They say Liverpool will sign the 18-year-old for £8m in January, then loan him back to the Dons for the remainder of the season. Alli, a midfielder who has been dubbed the English Messi, starred in his team’s 4-0 Capital One Cup victory over Manchester United and Dons boss Karl Robinson has conceded it is only a matter of time before he moves to a bigger club.
