Liverpool agree to meet asking price for Spanish Star Brendan Rodgers could be set to loan out winger Raheem Sterling to make way for Sporting Lisbon star Diego Capel in January. Sterling broke into the Liverpool team last season and earned his first England cap during the 4-4 friendly against Sweden. But the 18-year-old has struggled to keep his place in Rodgers’ side this season, with the Anfield boss ready to loan him out in order to gain more experience. Plenty of Premier League and Championship sides will be interested in taking Sterling on loan in January, but Liverpool want to secure a replacement before allowing him to leave. And the Reds have lined up Sporting Lisbon’s Spanish international Capel as their prime target – despite competition from Tottenham and Arsenal.
