Living Above The Rest Life isnt fair. Its true, but you still have to deal with it. Whining about it rarely levels the playing field, but learning to rise above it is the ultimate reward. Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Philippians 2:14-15 When youre at the mercy of petty desires and distractions, great achievements are impossible. To the degree that you let the little things get to you, you allow your life to be controlled by the whims of others. Rise above the pettiness. Take control of your own life. Focus your enormous energy on the things that really matter. Someone said something that sort of offends you? So what? Thats their problem. Someone looked at you the wrong way? Who cares? Replace the petty thoughts of anger, jealousy and spite with thoughts of strength. Calm down. Rise above the little, insignificant things. Focus your thoughts in the direction of fulfillment and accomplishment. Father in heaven, I am beginning to understand that there are two kinds of people in the world. There are people who instinctively look for every chance to be a victim and those who look for every chance to rise above-regardless of where they are in life and whats happening around them. By the power of Your Holy Spirit in me, I determine to be in the second group. In Jesus name, amen.
