Living Life Gods Way Acts 4:30-31 NLT[30] Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus. [31] After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness. Confidence...Boldness...earth shaking prayer...filled with the Holy Spirit...healing power...signs and wonders... When we go to God in prayer, believing that he hears us and answers our request, something happens in the spirit realm! When our prayers are spoken and offered up to God in the powerful name of His Son, God responds! How He responds is up to Him, but we are to believe that He responds! If we come to God with bold confidence, because we have obeyed him and are doing the things that please him, we can expect our prayers to be answered. Just one sentence was enough to shake up their meeting place! Just one sentence had enough faith to empower all of them with the Holy Spirit! All it takes is one sentence! There is life in the power of his name! There is salvation in his name! Demons are cast out in his name! There is forgiveness of sins in his name! The lame walk and the blind see in his name! Give thanks to God the Father, for everything, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. IN HIS NAME! JESUS CHRIST, THE NAME THAT IS ABOVE ALL OTHER NAMES... 1 John 3:18-24 NLT[18] Dear children, lets not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. [19] Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God. [20] Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. [21] Dear friends, if we dont feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. [22] And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him. [23] And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us. [24] Those who obey Gods commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us. John 20:30-31 NLT[30] The disciples saw Jesus do many other miraculous signs in addition to the ones recorded in this book. [31] But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name. Acts 4:12 NLT[12] There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Luke 9:49-50 NLT[49] John said to Jesus, Master, we saw someone using your name to cast out demons, but we told him to stop because he isnt in our group. [50] But Jesus said, Dont stop him! Anyone who is not against you is for you. Acts 2:36-41 NLT[36] So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah! [37] Peters words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, Brothers, what should we do? [38] Peter replied, Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. [39] This promise is to you, and to your children, and even to the Gentiles-all who have been called by the Lord our God. [40] Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, Save yourselves from this crooked generation! [41] Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day-about 3,000 in all. Acts 3:1-6 NLT[1] Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three oclock prayer service. [2] As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. [3] When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money. [4] Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, Look at us! [5] The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. [6] But Peter said, I dont have any silver or gold for you. But Ill give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk! Acts 4:10 NLT[10] Let me clearly state to all of you and to all the people of Israel that he was healed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, the man you crucified but whom God raised from the dead. Acts 16:18 NLT[18] This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And instantly it left her. Ephesians 5:15-20 NLT[15] So be careful how you live. Dont live like fools, but like those who are wise. [16] Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. [17] Dont act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. [18] Dont be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, [19] singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. [20] And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
