Living The Life It takes TIME to come to truly know the AMAZING and PERFECT love which God has for you......and I mean, you PERSONALLY and INTIMATELY not just as the whole of humanity. For God so loved the world.....dont we all start off learning John 3:16? Even unbelievers and little children can quote that verse.......but we short change ourselves and others so much by not reading the REST of the thought in verse 17: For God did not send the Son into the world to JUDGE the world, but that the world might be SAVED THROUGH Him. Read even a little further through verse 18, and you get an even more startling revelation from John: He who believes in Him is NOT JUDGED; he who does not believe HAS BEEN JUDGED ALREADY, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Verse 19 goes on to describe why its so difficult for us to believe: This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their DEEDS WERE EVIL. For everyone who does evil HATES the Light, and does not come to the Light for FEAR that his deeds will be EXPOSED. All of us are BORN into this state of unworthiness and guilt and with it comes a mindset of fear...were naturally bent towards the darkness because were BORN without KNOWING even what the LIGHT IS. We dont know that darkness is merely the ABSENCE of light. (Ever had one of those moments where you think, whats missing here?) Weve inherited the default predisposition that goes all the way back to the garden when Adam and Eve HID FROM GOD. Think about that....we have that IN US when were born....before we utter that first cry. So many people are under the illusion that if they can just hide from God and keep themselves out of the light, that theyre SAFE. Do a few good deeds and the devil will have you feeling like youre acceptable without Him. Do a lot of good deeds and the devil will have you CONVINCED that its all about OBEYING THE RULES. John, the only Apostle who referred to himself as the disciple whom Jesus loved knew this profound truth and LIVED his life IN IT. Tellingly, he was the only male disciple at the foot of the Cross as Jesus DIED. There was NO fear or condemnation in this disciple! Jesus love FOR HIM was so MUCH MORE IMPORTANT than any kind of imperfect, ever fleeting love OR deed that John could muster up for His LORD on any given day. John knew the secret....this life, this crazy, mixed up life we live is FIRST about you KNOWING the extraordinary love God has given to you, individually, in and through His Son and what He has done for YOU and BELIEVING in that perfecting LOVE. Yes, the demons believe that God is ONE but they SHUDDER.....did you get that?? They are looking at the Light from INSIDE THE DARK and they feel the condemnation of being JUDGED by God....I dare say, they do not BELIEVE in the SAVIOR (the One Who Saves) of God. Im going out on a limb here, but I think this could change the way you love yourself, the way you see God and His beloved Son, and therefore, might just change the way you perceive others and love OTHERS, especially those who are UNLOVABLE.....and dont we know there are more that are unlovable than lovable in our lives! It takes a supernatural love that you cannot create on your own to love people who dont love you. Its just that simple. And may I say, sometimes, YOU are the very person that you despise the most! So it starts with that. Dont try to live your life without KNOWING this truth and BELIEVING in the One Who DIED WILLINGLY to GIVE this AMAZING GIFT OF EXQUISITE LOVE so you can start to understand His love for you, which magnifies and perfects your love for Him and enables you to give His love through you toward others. 1 John 4:15-19 NASB Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to KNOW and have BELIEVED the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us.
