Living a Life of Obedience. Good morning Precious Gems of God But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. Luke 6:49 (KJV) Obedience is submission, a total surrender, of all that we are and desire to God, giving absolutely no voice to your own reasoning, ideas and interpretations. Doing exactly as He desires. Obedience releases blessings, like doing nothing else can. Through living a life of obedience every gift that God has for you will come to fulfillment. Disobeying might seem to make things easy at times and might even benefit us or others, but it boycotts the eventual profitable outcome and defeats God’s impeccable plans for you. People must see you walking as Christ walked in the Father, if we are walking as obedient children to His word; we are portraying His example, which is God’s ultimate desire for us. Living a life of obedience safe guards you from being defeated by the enemy. When Jesus spoke of denying oneself, He was focusing on the importance of renouncing self as the center of your life and actions, giving yourselves completely over to Him, your body, your mind, your career, and your finances. For it is being obedient that you display your love for and faith in God and His will for you. Self denial is the sustained willingness to say no to oneself in order to say yes to God. God desires blind obedience. Your level of obedience shows the true state of your heart towards God. He who desires to be successful in life must endeavor to obey. Greatness and excellence is exemplified by your obedience. Live a life of Obedience, obey God at all times even when you don’t understand for obedience is better than sacrifice.
