Living here at Pilgrim Place is lots of fun and surprises. I have just finished my fourth batch of Apricot jam most from Apricots that were grown in the village. I have been giving the Pilgrim Festival Apricot Jam for last years from our tree in Pasadena. So I have reputation to keep up. Just the jams and sweets part of the festival is serious business. They sell in the two days 1200-1400 jars of jams, jellies, marmalades, etc. we at the moment have about 800 jars. We use the apples, plums, oranges etc that grow in our yards. Concerts, movies, lectures are in the schedule each week. Here I thought I was going to have some time to do some serious reading or maybe learn how to weave. Oh well!
