Living in an inbetween space... yup... We are all a little broken and we are also made stronger by our wounds and collective actions. I am now apart of this. I speak arabic like a three year old but my heart is older with the stories, memories, of those around me. Some say, You are one of us. You are Palestinian now. This is a high honor, a compliment but it is not entirely true for I am also an American whose country makes that tear gas, those guns, those bulldozers that destroy homes. I am complicit. My tax dollars fund the occupation and muzzle through foreign aid dissent from within. I belong to both worlds now. I live in the inbetween space. It is both liminal and lonely. I am apart and set apart.
