Living under Graces Power! Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” (Galatians 5:4) Imagine that is we rely on any of our own strengths or human efforts, We are Fallen from Grace. We always imagine the fallen Christian or preacher when we see the term fallen from Grace But to be fallen from Grace is to start out in the power of the spirit, but we end up in our own efforts or doing things to earn the free gift of Grace. When we are motivated by fear and duty this becomes law. When the motivation for anything we do in Christ is outside of love and devotion it becomes our own effort and we are not under Grace. Grace is the Holy Spirits influence, Helping us deny ourselves so that we can receive everything that Christ gave us on the cross. Living under Grace makes you want to be holy. It is transforming power so we can live victoriously. Sin loses its attraction when you encounter the true Grace of God. Grace is not a doctrine it is Jesus full of grace and truth! Grace is free sovereign favor to the ill-deserving.” -Benjamin B. Warfield “A state of mind that sees God in everything is evidence of growth in grace and a thankful heart.” -Charles G. Finney (1792-1875) “Abounding sin is the terror of the world, but abounding grace is the hope of mankind.” -A. W. Tozer (1897-1963) Another reason I love Grace and need more is found in this promise in Galatians. Reading in the Amplified bible we see the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and miracles working In the atmosphere of believing in grace and not law or self efforts. (Gal 3:5) Then does He Who supplies you with His marvelous [Holy] Spirit and works powerfully and miraculously among you do so on [the grounds of your doing] what the Law demands, or because of your believing in and adhering to and trusting in and relying on the message that you heard? Gods Grace and Spirit are supplied by the Father in Faith to see his miraculous power manifest. The atmosphere in which Gods power works is under Grace not law. Gods Grace is living in his undeserved favor and love. Favor is Gods pleasure. When God takes pleasure or delights in people, He distinguishes and delights in them, showering down His spiritual blessing, goodwill, and grace. He wants to bestow on us His unsearchable riches and enrich us with all spiritual blessings, in faith, with the riches of grace and of glory, and with no sorrow accompanying them. I love the power of true Grace bestowed upon the believer. It is more than a gift but a infused Impartation to my inner man. So that now I can fight against sin, with a sin free conscience as one forgiven. He who is forgiven much, loves much. It is now my motivation to fight against sin by the Spirits power, And Resist sins power knowing that one day our fight will be over and we will be fully redeemed. We have entered into a time of increased favor, when God will empower and commission believers for harvest with greater authority, grace, spiritual blessing, faith, and supernatural provision. It is a season of birth--a season when His saints step into the fullness of His grace and birth great fruit, a season when God births and releases ministries and destinies. Grace is the power (medicine) to overcome Evil. Gods answer for sin is Grace (forgiveness) and justification, which is Freedom. The law detects and reveals the condition and disease. The Gospel (Grace) is the cure and remedy. GODS FAVOR QUALIFIES US The fruit we bear glorifies God, and He says that He will anoint His diligent saints with an even greater manifestation of spiritual riches! He will favor the faithful with His riches. The blessings of the LORD, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22). No sorrow means the favor (Grace) we receive with out any toil or labor on our part. He will literally pour His blessings upon the hands of the diligent (Proverbs 10:4). They will receive a new installment, an anointing of incredible depths of spiritual riches. His favor will cause them success. They will be the head and not the tail, because of the favor He will pour over them. Experience wont be necessary because theyll have His favor, which empowers and therefore qualifies them to accomplish great feats. God is commissioning His saints upon whom His favor rests, with grace to do the impossible. Gods glory will fall upon those in whom God delights. GRACE POWER God is imparting and releasing supernatural grace to His people in this hour to empower them to live an overcoming Christian life. Supernatural grace, Great Grace encompasses the word in Zechariah 4 for shouts of grace, grace. I want to describe what supernatural grace encompasses in more detail, so that you will have a solid understanding. The Greek word for grace in the New Testament is the same word for favor. Grace is the unmerited favor of God, but its more than this. The grace of God is the favor and kindness that He gives without regard to the worth or merit of the one who receives it, in spite of what that same person deserves. Think of it as God being kind and good to us, even if we dont deserve it. Both grace and favor can come upon us as a tangible presence. We havent really thought of grace and favor in this way before. God also wants us to understand a higher level of grace He has for His people - Great Grace - which He is releasing to equip us with His supernatural power. Great grace comes as a sovereign anointing and is a supernatural function of the Holy Spirit coming upon us to do impossible feats by the Spirit of grace. (Zechariah 4:6) And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. ( Acts 4:33) Great Grace here is something extraordinary, that is very great, exceedingly, magnificent. Loud and mighty. The fruit of Great Grace In the bible were seasons, when no one was lacking. People sold their possessions and lands, bringing the proceeds and laying them at the apostles feet so they could distribute to anyone that had need. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. (Acts 4:34-35) There are other passages in which grace refers to God’s giving us some ability and power I call this Great Grace (Acts 6:8) Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power. The scripture says they could not resist the spirit in which Stephen spoke. In speaking about his own ministry, Paul writes in Romans 1:5, Through him and for his name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship. He speaks about the gifts of grace that God gives to each Christian in Romans 12:6, We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. Luther tells us that he understands God’s grace as his favor in Christ. A couple quotations from What Luther Says will suffice. In 1527 Luther wrote, “I am seeking and thirsting for a gracious God. And He earnestly offers Himself as such and urges even those who spurn Him and are His enemies to accept Him as such.” In 1532 he wrote, “Paul teaches a difference between grace, on the one hand, and gifts, on the other. Grace signifies that favor with which God receives us, forgiving our sins and justifying us freely through Christ. Do not consider it a quality in man.” And in 1537 he said, “Grace consists in this, that God is merciful to us, shows Himself gracious for the sake of the Lord Christ, forgives all sins, and will not impute them unto us for eternal death. This is grace: the forgiveness of sins for the sake of the Lord Christ.” Let us endeavor to encounter grace in the person of Jesus. Depended on the Holy Spirit as he enables us in power to walk out our justification and sanctification. His grace is abounding, exceeding, overflowing and abundantly available to those who ask. Let us drink from the river and fountain of his endless Grace till we are so full we show love and mercy to the world in desperate need of the true grace of God. TODD BENTLEY
