Living with RA has taught me that each new day is a delicate balance of eagerly exploring where life takes me, as well as carefully charting and walking down my own path. Over the past year many people have seen some of the rewards that I have reaped, but few people have seen the corresponding time and effort that is required to achieve such results. As such, I find myself at a point where I need to reduce some of my multiple volunteer efforts. I *will* continue to share my journey as RA Guy, but have also made the difficult decision to step away from my role and responsibilities as president and founder of Show Us Your Hands!, a nonprofit charity organization that aims to unite and inspire people who live with inflammatory arthritis. I wish my former board members the best as they write the next chapter of this beautiful story of personal and community pride that started a few years ago, when I asked readers of this blog/Facebook page to submit photos of their inflammatory arthritis hands. My heartfelt thanks goes out to each and every person who was a part of my Show Us Your Hands! experience.
