Living with a spouse with a diagnosed mental disorder is challenging, Im not going to lie. In fact statistics say that marriages in this category have a 90% divorce rate. On the days where its difficult, I take it a moment at a time. Because our love is still beautiful. And its still strong. And I feel like that movie, the one with Jennifer Lawrence and that guy, silver linings play book, was kinda made with us in mind. Because we are both diagnosed. We both understand each other a little deeper than someone on the outside, looking in. So I have to wonder, are those chances of failure doubled? Because I feel if anything our survival rate has doubled. Only time will tell, but I keep hold to that phrase excelsior. You have to find the silver linings, and thats what gets you by. That and sticking to your medication even though you feel better (thats the point lol). So if you know someone like us, when its ugly, try to remember its the diagnosis talking, not us.
