Livingsocial is presently offering the Alfreds Homestead Too Good - TopicsExpress

Livingsocial is presently offering the Alfreds Homestead Too Good To Be True Deal for Saturday Night and Sunday Lunch. Livingsocial is a very large company and is doing business all over the world. They do have defined strategies and guidelines to follow. I have always been upset with the food pictures they use and their Silly Share Policy. At present they have 3 Food pictures that are clearly Not from Alfreds Homestead. I had a young chap the other day on the phone concerned that the Food at Alfreds Homestead may not be suitable for his recent pregnant wife. His comment was - is it food laying around?. The awful pictures of food that Livingsocial depict on the deal offer is typical of the Buffet type cafeteria style that does have food laying around. I explained to this concerned father to be that we prepare food to be eaten within minutes of it being presented or cooked. Our Hot vegetables are not overcooked and washed out and our pasta is not clag. We take out to be eaten one small tray at a time. When someone rings to book Sunday Lunch I tell them that the best time to arrive is 12 noon and I beg for them to come before 1pm. We start the service with the Lights on so they can see the beautiful fresh food and we dont bring out the sweets until 1pm since we presume that most will eat sweets last. The first lot of sweets are consumed in seconds. Our sweets are not exposed to air for very long since each lot taken out will be eaten very quickly indeed. The cheese and greens platter is last to be presented since we dont like cheese to be exposed to air for too long before eaten. We work in the same way as Mum would work at home. If Mum says food is ready then that is when you need to start eating. I have at times patrons arriving at 1:30pm on a Sunday after they had been told to arrive at the latest before 1pm. I really show that I am not happy similarly to Mum who would be upset if someone turned up to eat late for food she had stated would be ready to eat. Vegetarians love our vegies and Pasta lovers are always surprised because our pasta is al Dente. Most that visit on a Sunday will have finished with the salads, seafood and cold meats by 1:30pm and so the remaining in the Cold Buffet area are taken away and the remaining Sweets are placed in the cold Buffet area to be still enjoyed by those who need to try all the 10 home made sweets. Livingsocial pays for goodwill ie their share policy. If someone is happy with Alfreds Homestead they cannot wait to tell friends to visit. Everyone normally shares good news. Livingsocial pays people to share good news. Now that is silly in my opinion.
