Lizzy had CF Clinic this morning. She was such a trooper and never shed one tear. She watched them draw her blood, took her x-rays and did her throat culture without hesitation- she was so brave. Her BMI was great- 96%! These last few weeks we have noticed Lizzy hasnt been 100%...shes had a very runny nose and not the greatest appetite. Although she smiles and runs and plays she just has had to work harder to keep going- never wanting to stop but more tired. Today her doctor saw that her X-Ray was showing quite a bit of stuff in her lungs. Because of this we are increasing treatments to 4 times/day. We will wait until Monday to see if she is culturing Pseudomonas or any other bacteria. If so chances are Lizzy will need to receive antibiotics and be admitted. At this point it could be a virus- could be bacteria- we just dont know for sure. Lizzy is extremely tired and we are praying so hard she can knock whatever this is and get her lungs cleared up with the extra vest and inhaled mediation treatments.
