Llandudno & Caernarfon District Darts League. 03.06.2014 ``Let’s Play Darts’’ By Peter Kearney. Week two of the summer season has already produced a 12 dart leg and a maximum shot out. Young Dan Wilson playing for the Maelgwyn A this season played Mal Mullen of the RAOB Club A, in an unbelievable night of darts, Dan produced a 12 dart leg with a maximum 170 shot out, but Mal not to be outdone produced a 104 shot out. Team captain for the Maelgwyn, Clive Davies had a 14 dart leg before leading his team on to a 6 – 3 win. The other matches in the Nevill sponsored Division One, saw the Malt Loaf host the Penrhyn Arms, the Arms took an early 2 – 4 lead after the singles, but were unable to secure the win as the Malt Loaf rallied and took all three doubles for a 5 – 4 win. The RAOB Club sponsored Division Two saw the Cricket Club take on newly promoted Links Hotel, the Cricketers took an early 4 – 2 lead, then secured all three doubles for a 7 – 2 win. Crosville Club A hosted the Anglers and proved too strong as they triumphed 7 – 2 winners, helped by a 120 shot out from Brian Evans. The Penrhyn Old Hall travelled to the West Sore Jacks and were unable to turn their 2 – 4 lead into a win as they lost all three doubles to let the Jacks clinch a 5 – 4 win. Division Three sponsored by the Links Hotel saw the Cross Keys Llandudno take on the Kings Arms, but they couldn’t match them as they lost 2 – 7, Danny Owen of the Arms with a 120 shot out. The Labour Club hosted the British Legion and in a tight match which went to the last doubles the Labour won 5 – 4. The Legion were leading 2 – 4, but couldn’t win the doubles to get the win. The Maelgwyn B took on the Townhouse and came away 5 – 4 winners. The Cross Keys Llandudno sponsored Division Four saw the Bron Eryri B take on local rivals the Pen Golf Club, in a close game that went to 4 – 4 before the Bron took the last doubles for a 5 – 4 win. The Cross Keys Penryhn Side hosted the Crosville B and took their early 4 – 2 lead and turned it into a 6 – 3 win. Newly formed the mixed team of the Maelgwyn C beat the Pen y Bryn A 5 – 4 (no result card). Results: Division One: RAOB B 9 – Blank 0, Maelgwyn A 6(12) - RAOB A 3(6), Malt Loaf 5(11) - Penrhyn Arms 4(8). Division Two: Crossville`A’ 7 - Old Hall 2, Cricket Club 7(13) – Links 2(4), Crosville A 7(12) – Anglers 2(6), West Shore Jacks 5(8) – Penrhyn Old Hall 4(9). Division Three: Cross Keys Llandudno 2(4) - Kings Arms 7(12), Labour Club 5(9) – British Legion 4(9), Maelgwyn B 5 – Townhouse 4. Division Four: Maelgwyn C 5 - Pen-y-Bryn A 4, Cross Keys Pen Side 6(10) – Crossville B 3(7), Bron Eryri B 5(10) – Pen Golf Club 4(7).
