Llanera barangay councilor shot dead (5/31/2013) A barangay kagawad was killed by an unidentified armed man in Barangay General Ricarte, Llanera at about 5:50 A.M. last May 26. The victim, Nick Apan, 42, was in his junk shop when the three men on board separate motorcycles parked in front. One of the suspects entered the shop and pretended to be a customer while his two companions remained at their motorcycles. The suspect shot the victim once with a caliber .45 pistol and then fled with his companions. Apan, with a bullet wound in the lower part of his head, was rushed to Premiere General Hospital in Cabanatuan City but declared dead on arrival. Investigators recovered a caliber .45 shell and a slug. ###
