Local 107.3FM’s annual funding drive is hitting the airwaves from October 25-31. As a non-profit campus-based community radio station, FunDrive is Local-FM’s most important fundraising event of the year where we ask our listeners to show their support for independent volunteer-driven broadcasting in Saint John. From 9AM Saturday, October 25, 2014 to 11:59PM Friday, October 31, 2014, give your favourite DJ a call at (506) 648-5925 to make a pledge. A donation of $15 or more is eligible for a tax receipt. Donations can also be made online at localfm.ca/donate or by mail to: Local 107.3fm 100 Tucker Park Rd. Saint John, N.B. E2L 4L5 This year’s raised funds will go towards the station’s capital budget as well as plans to upgrade on-air facilities and other projects. This year, FunDrive donations will go primarily towards two large projects: - Installation of newly acquired equipment (broadcast board, etc.) to swap the on-air studio space with a larger production space. This will allow for higher quality productions with more guests, in-studio performances, etc. - A much needed transmitter replacement, engineering brief, and amplifier to increase wattage and coverage. These and other ongoing radio projects help Local-FM better serve the Saint John and online listening public.
