Because the American doctor being treated for Ebola was hanging out in my neighborhood right before he started showing symptoms. Im incredibly grateful for the brave people risking their own lives to help others diagnosed with Ebola. And a sober reading of the facts indicates that its unlikely youd catch something like Ebola from a subway pole. But I do wish there were stricter quarantine protocols in place for a city like New York, or any major city in which you come into contact with thousands of people every day.
