Local filmmakers recently traveled to Santa Fe to raise money for a new television show, “Tailed.” The plot takes place 25 years in the future, during a time in which aliens have invaded earth and are kidnapping human babies. The two main characters, Martin and Corey, are rushing to save their baby, and end up sparking a rebellion against the aliens. The show is being filmed in Roswell and is almost finished wrapping up its first season. Donovan Fulkerson (producer, director, and writer of “Tailed”) went to Santa Fe with his crew to raise $10,000 through crowdfunding; a method where people present their idea and investors can donate money to help their idea come to life. The event, MIX Starter, focuses on crowdfunding, particularly in the state of New Mexico, and is featuring ten entities across the state. “MIX Starter is an all or nothing campaign. If we don’t get to $10,000, we don’t get any of it,” Fulkerson said. The project, so far, has been funded out of pocket by Fulkerson and by volunteers that have donated their time and equipment. Fulkerson and his team have until August 10 to raise the $10,000 and you can help bring this project further life by donating to their cause. Series and product sponsors are also welcomed! Visit mainstreetcrowd/project/tailed-film-series/ to learn more about this project, or email Donovan Fulkerson at donovan@donovanfulkerson. You can watch the pilot episode by clicking below. Help spread the word about this great opportunity for Roswell!
