Local law enforcement agencies are slated to take part in a torch run this morning at 10:45 to raise awareness for the Special Olympics. There will be two segments of the run. Route A begins in Rolla at the Rolla Chamber of Commerce, and Route B begins at the St. Robert Community Center. Brig. Gen. Mark Spindler, U.S. Army Military Police School commandant, is slated to provide remarks at the close of the Law Enforcement Torch Run at Fort Leonard Wood’s Coyler Park. Today, the Law Enforcement Torch Run is held in 50 states and 48 countries around the world. The event recruits more than 15,000 law enforcement officers worldwide.
