Logans bilirubin level is still a little elevated. His dr feels its directly related to him being a preemie with Down syndrome as both separately can take longer to resolve. The 2 combined makes his level not alarming. Based on his age he feels it could be breastmilk jaundice that will work itself out. The plan is to do 2 days of phototherapy (today and tomorrow) along with checking his levels the next 2 mornings. We are looking at discharge on thurs morning and followup with our ped on Monday. While we are anxious to get our little man home, we dont want to rush it and wind up back here!
