Lois wrote--Hi all. This is my first post. I have commented on other posts. I am a recent LBKA (September 18, 2014) after a year and a half of trying to heal my heel and dealing with infected and dead bone. I am also a type 2 diabetic, which probably had a big hand in my not being able to heal. My surgeon took out my stitches on Thursday, I go get my shrinker on Tuesday and I get my prescription for my prosthetic on Thursday. I cannot wait to start gait training. I worked hard in inpatient rehab, am working hard at home so I dont lose what I gained, and will work hard to get back walking on my own two feet. So glad to find this group!
