Lol, dont worry I never get that close to an Elk, and I always make sure that my car is close by with unlocked doors and there is usually a crowd there as well. In Estes Park, you will see Elk like this all over the place in town. People see my pics, and like to start false rumors, even those amateurs out there, trying to compete with other photographers start trouble. I guarantee you, I always watch to see if the animal is comfortable with me there, and I dont bother them. Most animals shots that I have, are ones who come up to me (Buffalo calfs, birds, chipmunks, rabbits etc..), with a very few exceptions.
